Do I need to take the Pearson VUE exam?
All new notaries and notaries with expired commissions must take the Pearson VUE exam at a testing center in your county (it is not possible to take the exam online). The Department of State will email you with scheduling information after your application is accepted.
The $65 exam fee is paid directly to Pearson VUE at the time of scheduling. This is paid for every attempt so we suggest studying as much as possible to pass the first time.
